2002 X-30 Stereo Refurb, Shoutout to Earmark

After working for the better part of May ordering parts and installing them, I have finally finished my x-30 stereo refurb. I wanted to let everyone know how helpul Odin at Earmark was through the entire process, which included 28 emails back and forth along with a call as I worked everything out.

The install included 2 Rev8's powered by a JL XD400/4, 4 JL MX650CCXSGWH in boat speakers, a JL MX10IB3SGWH 10" sub, and a JL XD 700/5 to power the in boat speakers and sub. Also Installed a Kenwood KMR558BT head unit along with 2 JL HD RLC to control the sub and tower speaker levels from the captains seat. We also redid all of the wiring (power, remote, speaker wires, RCA's) and setup distribution blocks and a circuit breaker. All parts and wiring purchased and packaged by earmark.

Wow did this all take some time. Anyway here is the in process pic, next time I am out on the water I will come back and add some detailed pics.

Thanks for the kind words, you definitely jumped into a big job on that one. Sounds like you got it all done, looking forward to seeing the finished product pics. These big DIY installs are a lot of work but they can be really rewarding when you're finished, knowing that you built it all yourself and it's done right! Any questions just shoot me an email or phone call, you know how to reach me.

What speakers did you use for the in cabin speakers. Did you remove the old tweeters and replace with new or left them in.

I left the old tweeters in, just don't have them hooked up. No one will be able to tell they aren't hooked up and I didn't want lights or anything like that in their place.
