Oil in bilge

Just changed the oil on a 6.0 Ilmor (X23). Took it out to the lake and the extreme warning signal/alarm comes on and shows no oil pressure. Pull it out of the water, dispstick shows no oil and all the oil is in the bilge. Oil drain hose looks secure with no residue. Iím at a loss where the leak occurred. Any help before I haul it to the dealer...

Clean up your mess and wipe the motor clean, fill it back with oil and see where it leaks from. My guess would be the oil filter.

Did you make sure you got the old filter gasket off before putting on the new filter?

Funny thing is there is no oil on the motor, no residue showing except the oil in the bilge.

Bingo on the old gasket that remained. (Never had that happen.) Still cannot figure where the oil flowed into the bilge since there is no oil on the engine or near the filter???
