OK my sister needs a new prop for her boat she has an IO runabout, anyway it has been forever since I even looked for a prop for anything other than an inboard, so where do you guys suggest getting them?

find out what size her old one is ... I think I still have 2-3 old IO props in my storage building from years ago. These were back up props and likely never been on a boat. Shooting from memory, would be for Mercury 120, 140, 175. likely 1-2 Aluminum and maybe still a stainless steel.

where is she located?

Try Powertech Propellers. You can give them info on your application and they’ll provide you with their recommended props. http://www.ptprop.com/index.php?opti...tpage&Itemid=1

Depends on application and use. My last boat was an 18' I/O with a 305 V8, and I think I used a 14 1/2" x 19 pitch. This is a good combination watersport and cruising prop. I also know someone who uses a 15" x 17 pitch for a better hole shot but, as expected, you loose a bit of the top end speed.
