Man, you're killing me. Doing my best to stay away from the X-Star because I know I would never be able to walk away from it.

Great story and thanks for sharing. Wish I had your problems deciding between a beautiful '14 X30 or a Sick new X Star! How do you sleep at night? LOL

That XSTAR wake looks amazing right out of the box, I'm sure you will fine tune it even better with some hrs. Crazy to think how sweet a surf boat the Star is now when it was ragged on just a few yrs ago about its lame surfability. No longer a one trick pony.

You interior is damn sexy with the baseball contrast color stitching. Kudos!

Yeah, whats killing me is that it is supposed to be 70 degrees here this weekend and I don't have access to the XStar. The front ballast wasn't working during the test drive, so it went into Service directly after the test drive and they are slammed with winterizing boats.

Being that its a recently sold boat and the days to ride are ending quick, you would think the dealer would make a priority especially for a returning customer.

I would be calling the dealer daily bugging them to get it done ASAP.

Agreed, you just spent some serious coin with them, they should put you to the front of the line

Your old boat was damned good looking too. Did you get a chance to compare a new X22 against the XStar?

I did get to ride the X24 a few times...but Stancraft said that they didn't even order any X22's since they had so many XT22's and X23's in stock. I am not sure when I will get a chance to ride an X22.

Strictly speaking about the boat interior and features - I like the X24 better - but from a wake/wave and performance standpoint, I prefer the Star. That statement may still hold true for the X22, but there are some things (like the flip up leanbacks) that the X22 does not have which I really liked about the X24 - so I don't think I will like the the X22 as much as I liked the X24.

For me, it wasn't a hard decision since I got the Xstar at a great price and the X24 would have been significantly more expensive, prohibitively so in my case.
