surgery tomorrow, then followup surgery to pull the pins out in 5 weeks. dr said i should expect 50-60% usage back after its all said and done. He said verbatim " you did a number on this thing"

pray for me. pray that my wife does not go into labor tomorrow night at 5pm

LOL. i'll give it a shot i guess. but i think some day skiing will be fun if i can get around the buoys at speed and take some line off. maybe in my next life.

Had surgery yesterday. Doc says 5 weeks with the pins in it, then they comes out, then 4-5 weeks recovery. So maybe by end of September i'll get back out there with a coach.

I'm going to consider going to a ski school after this hand heals and before the end of the season. If anyone has any suggestions on how to take this approach and what schools to consider for a beginner I'd appreciate it. Either in TX or elsewhere.

Bennett's is not too far from the TX LA border. Been there for years. Great memories of going there over 30 years ago.
