In the early to mid 2000's single axle had 15" and dual axle were 14".

I found cery good reviews on these 14" D rated tires from lot's of folks running them on RVNet.com with very good reviews. I've been running them 3 years no and zero problems.

With that many blow outs, you sure your axle isn't tweeked possibly generating excess heat from tires being toe'd? If you have that many blowouts I would almost rule out the tires.

I should have read the thread better.

I run these on my boat. I hope I don't have problems *knock on wood*

Edit --> Are you getting the tires balanced? I had mine balanced and filled with nitrogen. The guy at the shop thought I was nuts for paying them to do it to a trailer, but I insisted it be done.

I hadn't ever had them rebalanced outside of initial install. Wouldn't think that would be an issue with such low miles. Our round trip is prob 10 miles 1-2 times a week with maybe 2 trips a year over 50 miles. Only other thing I can think of is just heat from sitting. Maybe time for some tire covers.

Just doesn't seem like a fluke that these things are turds.

I've never had an issue with the marathons. Just got new ones last year on the 25 trailer.

I had 3 marathons blow out on me in one season. I started replacing the whole set every other year even if they had less than 1000 miles on them. In fact I bet they didn't even have 500 miles on them.

They suck. Now I'm on these pimped out low profile rims on my X25 trailer. So far they have been good. Those tires are also hard to replace.
