Why does it make sense to use the mhd750/1 as opposed to using an mhd600/4 so each pair can be bridged and wires won't have to be doubled up?

The only safe way to bridge a pair of 4 ohm speakers across 2 chnls of the mhd600/4, is to wire them in series @ 8 ohm. In this manor, the net wattage to each speaker is 150W rms. Same as if each speaker is wired to its own chnl.

The mhd750/1 can be done with no more wiring than you proposed with the bridged 600/4 scenario. It can be done with actually only a single 2-con up the tower. All the rest can be done at the speakers. The 750/1 nets you a little more wattage at a lower investment.

being that my tower is already pre wired with a 2-con going to each of the 4 speaker locations, is it best to join the speaker wires in the plug going into the amp or default to one 2-con and join them at the speakers?

Given that scenario, I would leave the tower wiring as is, and make my junctions at the amp.

Leaving out two 2-cons and making the junctions at the pods, reduces the conductor surface area.

connect wire AT the AMP location, don't mess with them in the Tower

I currently have a 2015 x-25 with 2 tower speakers with the stock jl audio system (mx770 tower cans). I am curious if adding another pair will make that much difference and what will I need besides the speakers i.e. additional amp? Is it worth the expense?

Have you considered installing a Fresh Air Exhaust? I have a 2011 X25 and was running an MHD 600/4 to my 4 tower speakers and still found it difficult to hear the music while surfing or even in the boat over the roar of the LY6 engine. Once I added the FAE, it was a night and day difference. I canít even tell the engine is running. This is merely a side benefit to the real job of pushing the CO down and past the surfer.

Ok I am going to add a question on here. What if you added a 5th and 6th speaker? Obviously you would need the amp to push it but would you also have to run dedicated wiring for those two speakers? Or does MC have pre installed wiring? I know the 3rd and 4th are there.
