I bet with my luck it’s already grounded properly and I’ll still have the whining sound...

In terms of audio noise, this is only a very small piece of the puzzle.

Well, I just checked. No way to tell if it’s grounded correctly. Or I can’t. I see the ground wire from the amp but it goes into a corrugated tube and of course there are 2 of these, one from each amp. But I can’t really follow it well through the boat. I do only see ONE connection to the first of two batteries on the negative terminal. Which to me means only one amp is grounded to the battery OR somehow the grounds are joined together somewhere else. No way in hell im figuring this ****storm out. Fack!!!!! There is nothing grounded to the second battery at all. The noise gets louder as I accelerate. I can’t recall if it makes the noise in the aux ignition position.

well, I decided to order a JL M400/4 from amazon and throw it in the boat to see if that "fixes" the problem with the speakers not firing up at all. If it does, then obviously it's an amp issue and not a wiring issue. If it isn't the problem, then I can return it at least and start over. I did also get the isolator from amazon, so I'll give that a shot at some point. Thanks for all of the help.

Is it normal for there to only be one rca set plugged into only channels 1 and 2? I know I have 4 channels since I have 4 speakers. But only one set of RCAs.

Yes

So, back in page one, it was asked if the 2 suspect speakers were on a different amp then other 2 that are not making noise. The answer was "yes".

So, you have 4 tower speakers. 2 on this amp, two on another amp, but this amp you are about to replace is powering two other speakers that are NOT tower speakers?

Ah. Sorry about any confusion. I’m not very adept at this. The four tower speakers ARE on one amp, the wet sounds htx-4. Sorry again. The other amp powers only the interior speakers and sub and there are no issues with the whining sound on those. I am going to install the new JL amp tomorrow Judy to see if there is still a problem because right now I have NO power to my tower speakers at all
