Brand new sdx6 cuts out.. GRRR

Installed a new wet sounds sdx6 for my six 7.7 cabin speakers.. 0 AWG power/ground tspec trunk line run into tspec fused d block and ground d blocks... then about 16Ē of 4 AWG split to the sdx6 and kicker kx1200.1 pushing a sub.. at low volume everything is fine but when I turn it up, the sdx6 cuts out. Sub amp keeps on trucking, but the wetsounds amp light flashes a few times then tuns off, and after a while itíll come back on. My first thought was voltage drop so I tested with a multi meter. When it cuts out Iím still showing 12+ volts at the battery and at the d blocks.... is there anything else that could cause this? Its very frustrating...

I don’t think so.. all six play. But I will double check. Would sub vibrations cause an amp to turn off. It’s. It mounted to the enclosure, but it’s mounted in the factory location with the tower amp, and my ported sub box is in that storage locker.... surely that can’t be it right?

I wouldn’t imagine so. I’ve got all three of my amps next to a massive ported enclosure and I never have issues.

I didn’t think so either, but thought I’d ask. I read through the manual looking for answers, and it said in there to not mount the amp in high vibration areas, “like on a sub enclosure”.... but I’ve never had vibration issues with any other amp either

Worst case I would just take it off and see if it still happens. The protect light flashing pattern will correspond with the error code in the manual.

Is it flashing a code? Speaker impedance dipping low, gain too high, wrong cross over, are some external things that can send an amp into protect mode.

This is crazy. I just mounted the Syn DX6 yesterday and its doing the exact same thing this morning. Getting 5 flash code which is under voltage. Battery is at 12.2 volts. Ran it off and on all day yesterday and didnt have the problem. Did not charge last night. Apparently it doesnt like low voltage, but seems that it should run on 12.2. Also mounted a Syn DX2.3 to push the towers. It hasnt cut off once. The DX6 is cutting off continuously. Channels 1-4 pushing 4 JL 770s at 4 ohm. Channel 5-6 bridged pushing the big JL 12" IB

Mine if definitely related somehow to the sub and it’s amp... if I unplug the sub amp RCAs, the dx6 will make the cabins scream as loud as I can bear to have them... soon as I plug the sub back in, it’s back to cutting out at about half volume....

I’ve gotta believe it’s not sub vibration related.. surely there are way more powerful systems than my 1200w 12” in a ported box. Which leads me to batteries.. I’ve got two pro guide group 27 batteries wired in the factory house/crank setup through the factory switch. I’m running the amp power cables off the battery that is switch position 1, or the house bank... the batteries have sticker date code 2016 on them. I guess even though I have 2 batts, in this configuration, I’m only using one for the system right? Could this be an issue?
