DrivingLas Vegas to Fargo got a flat on day one and day two. One week later o the way home , flats on day 7 and 8. Boat was 3 years old, but found the tires were about 5 years one when mounted.

Just finished mounting replacements - I went with the Goodyear Endurance load range E since they were in stock at my local Discount Tire and people on TT have been saying mostly positive things about them.

When I put the damaged ones in the car to run them over I saw the DOT date codes were 1014 and 1114 respectively. That puts them around the first two weeks of March in 2014, so just about 3 months past 4 years after their manufactured date.

50 tops for me and yes tire pressure matters. Always happens on the way home after sitting at the launch. Hot sun and hot pavement was raising the tire pressure 8 to 10 pounds.

Good point, I thought about the added heat of the trailer sitting out in the sun.

Yep, about 20 minutes into the trip home..

Nah, the fender is still rocking along. I was going to restore them last winter but wound up doing something else.. Maybe this winter?

I am a full-fledged member of that club. My record was 3 blown tires on one trip to Lake Powell. We had just bought a used 2007 X30. The tires still "looked new" but PO had stored it outside. Goodyear Marathons are famous for this. There are threads on here just dedicated to that tire. I learned my lesson. Last winter when I drove to San Diego to pick up my 2014 X46 I went strait to Discount Tire and replaced all 4 before driving back to PHX.

The only boat MC makes that should be on a single axle these days is a ProStar. The inside tire wear is a direct indicator that the trailer is over loaded.

Had a three year old Carlisle throw the entire tread after 15 miles today. Minor fender damage but took out both side marker lights.
