split drivers seat vinyl
Hi - any recommendations on what I should do to repair my drivers seat vinyl that has a split in it (the removeable seat pad - not the Bolster). Buy a skin, have a upolstery shop custom make? Other options?
Thx, Paul |

I had a friend who called on a mobile service that came to her work and fixed a vinyl tear on the arm rest of her Escalade. He used some sort of glue, then literally painted it with an airbrush to match the interior color. Looked great, never could tell it was a repair...just a thought, maybe call around your local area.

I'd take it to a shop and have it done. If you still have the 02, factory skins are no longer available.

I'm with John on this. A vinyl shop would have that done in no time, and done right.

Have it fixed right at a vinyl shop. Never put a band-aid on a compound fracture.

I don't think this would be good for a marine environment

Agreed, the "fix" would be short lived.
