Is Your Alternator Shaking

We replaced a lot of these............it's not a matter of it, it's just a matter of when. If you see your alternator shaking, your bracket has broken or sometimes a bolt breaks .........this is for your TBI engine. Might want to grab this and save it............we did dozens of them. New kit in Indmar's packaging with the instructions for installation from Indmar~ $45.00 plus shipping~~ Contact me via email: [email protected]

I had several bolts break with the old bracket design. New bracket has been good for 3 or 4 years

Anyone know if this will this work on the older (95) TBI engines? I'm not at it now, but having a hard time visualizing it work with my original bracket which looks much different. Thanks!

not needed if you don't over tighten... never had one break on car or a boat.. I know some had issues..

As JRW160 said, we've seldom seen one that either the bolts or the bracket hasn't broken. If your boat hasn't had this upgrade (in fact I think it was a bulletin a long time ago), you should do it. We caught a lot of them before I customers even knew they had a problem...........but if you loose it on the lake, you'll have a problem. If you have a TBI..........and haven't had a problem yet, wouldn't be a bad thing to have for future. It has the bracket and all the bolts.........and I don't think the kit is available anymore from MC. Just my 2 cents~~~ Deb

Mine is a 2003 and had the old bracket. The info in the below post says it affect TBI and MCX through 2004. http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/...8&postcount=31
There's some more info in this thread: http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/...t=15960&page=4

Below are the two brackets. Old on the left and new on the right. The bracket for sale in the post is the old version.
