Hoping it would be more retro and with this in mind I am somewhat disappointed

I agree it is uninspired. How about make 50 remakes of hull #1? I would buy that. Just modify the hull so it doesn't porpoise as bad.

I recall so many boats that have stood out for me over the years. The 40th Anniversary, the Nautique Mapple Boats, the Team Edition with different graphics on each side. The 25th Anniversary stands out as my favorite. All of those boats made me think WOW. I want one just like it.

Its a nice boat and prostars ski well but nothing said WOW to me. Maybe its too much to expect to be as good at 50 as you were at 25?

well, IMHO, the 50th needs to beat this, and consider myself very lucky to have been able to get this one.

Love your boat Bret and agree it was the one the 50th needed to beat.

I don't know.....when the 40th came out there were many of the same comments that I'm reading now on the 50th. Including some by myself. It clearly grew on me when I saw it in person, as opposed to the first release photo.

Some one Photoshop a couple gold stars on either side of the Mastercraft and people here will love it. $40 in gold flake vinyl and its the best star ever made.
