6.2L Ilmor Fault - Check Engine Light

I've had the exact same issue as several people on the board - it's unclear to me what the current solution is. Can anyone provide clarity - here is the background:

- 2012 X45 with 60 hours, 6.2L Ilmor MV8
- Stopped at the dock after running, turned off engine. Started engine for 3rd time of the day and engine overheated after starting back up. Immediately shut down engine after warning. Checked all the usuals, didn't find any culprits, started the engine and ran normally for the rest of the summer. Check engine MIL light and on screen warning were present after overheat.
- Check engine MIL light has been on since the event.
- Was able to clear the on screen warning with the up, down, up down, etc. sequence
- Engine has been started from cool start 5+ times.

MIL light will not go away - does anyone know how to clear this?

Pretty sure you have to have the diacom software (dealer) to clear codes on the 2012s. At least that's what my dealer told me when I had mine.

I can't help with clearing your codes, however does it have the "Sea Strainer" update?

2012 & early 2013's had an updated Sea Strainer, the older style were getting air locks, causing overheat issues.
