What needs to be done with the gelcoat? It looks oxidized.

Maybe the Supra is looking better after that 205 pic. Haha. Better that it has more freeboard than the comp, you now have some history on it, efi, etc.
that blue 205 doesn't look trashed but you have a few days of sand, cut, Polish ahead of you and that's just from the picture. Interior doesn't look trashed, but guessing the carpet is. And that deck is an easy sand and oil UNLESS they painted that crap in between the slats. In that case, it's done for unless you disassemble it.

That is a good deal! I sorta figured it would look like that, maybe worse for that price. Honestly a week worth of part time work on that boat would make someone 6k profit!!! Interior looks good compared to exterior which means it probably stayed outside with a good cover on it. Interior gives away a lot of info of how the boat was treated, this one looks good to me. Especially since it looks original, may not be and that's good too because it would cost around 3k for an interior in that boat. Couple hours that platform looks new again. Drive train would be the main concern at this point. 900 hrs is nothing if it was maintained. I think it's worth a drive to check it out... And remember, don't buy unless he'll take it to the water to try out.

Crap, I can't get the link to post right. Go to FAQ, it's close to the top. "What to look for when buying a used boat"

No matter how you cut it - $9K for that boat with an MC Trailer is a steal - even with the Monster Tower.

Looks like a little hard work and it will be a great boat.

Check the engine out - otherwise I wouldn't hesitate a moment - it will be gone.
