StarGazer Perfect Pass gauge at night?

I just upgraded my perfect pass with the new GPS option, it has four buttons around the LCD display. It looks like the buttons don't have any backlighting and when the backlight is lit up, the buttons look odd. Is how everyone else's perfect pass gauge looks?

The device seems to work okay, its just seems to be an odd designed gauge that has backlighting but the buttons are not lit up? At night, you can't see the buttons at all, not that I would be using cruise control at night anyway

Is Stargazer the only GPS cruise control out there?

I know this is an old thread - but this is normal, mine does it too. It's just the back light bleeding through.

I turn my backlight way down at night, its blinding.

Last summer we were parked floating in the middle of the lake having a nice frosty beverage, I turned the boat on and we were idling around and I lost all my night vision, had to shut the boat off and wait for it to come back to figure out where home was!

When I installed my Perfect Pass gauge, I put the old light from the speedo it replaced in the hole in the back. This makes the buttons light up nicely. Looks more finished than your pick. I'll try and get a pic if we end up out after dark this weekend.
