Record breaking warm weather

All this warm weather is giving me Spring Fever! Down in Alabama, we have broken some records with 83 degree weather and I am loving it! I have finally gotten around to changing my oil and impeller. I still need to do some more general cleaning on the boat and change the tranny fluid but after that, I should be ready to take her back to the lake and get her wet. It will be nice to have my garage back bc it is tight with the truck and boat side by side.

On a different subject, I found a non running 2002 Seadoo RX that I have ordered a carb rebuild kit along with some other miscellaneous parts. I hope to be up and running by the end of next week, provided my parts come in and I don’t run into any unforeseen obstacles. Does anyone else here have an older seadoo with the 951 engine? I may have to bounce a couple things off of you if you are familiar with these engines. They seem fairly simple and I have owned seafood in the past, just never worked on one. I am kind of excited to dive into it. I have already learned a good bit just by taking out the carbs and disassembling them. Now I have to remember how to get them back together.

You aren't kidding about Spring Fever. It's got the bass confused too. Caught a bunch of spots down at Lake Martin last weekend. They biting like it was late March. I've got it bad this year too because I placed an order over the winter.

Which end of the lake? We are down by Real Island, although it may be a few weeks before I can get down there. I may have to go to our local pond and give the tiger bass a go.

Right across from sand island opposite you. The sloughs between the bridge and Willow Point. Mine is Friday Point.

I miss my old "winter" sport, MX. Traded my last one in for kids.

Yeah it’s hitting me pretty hard today too! It’s dang near 80 degrees outside in N Alabama, and if the water weren’t so cold I’d probably hit the river tomorrow. We'll probably get one more cold snap before spring gets here so I’m going to hold off on getting on the water until after that.

Ready for the rain to go away. Sucks. Was 77 the other day before this front came through.
