My boat had a backing plate (HDPE) at the cleat locations. I just used the supplied washers and ran with it.

I just ordered these for another spring project, I have been using the suction cups, but it makes me nervous walking away from the boat tied to the dock if one popped off !

Found them on http://www.marinesurplusinc.com/mast...pull-up-cleat/ for a great price and free shipping.

Sodar, I am on to ripping apart the dash and wiring. I seen your thread but I couldn't make out just how you mounted your aux battery. Could you send a better pic of how you mounted that under the driver seat?

I don't have anything better than what is in my stereo thread. The boat is 250 miles from me, right now.

The only thing I can offer is that I bought a plastic batter holder (http://www.cpperformance.com/p-13289...ttery-box.aspx ), mounted it to the floor in front of the driver's footrest/kick panel and installed the battery there.

I just checked my PM's and for the Blue Seas add a battery, I just used the ACR. I do not have a battery switch.

Ok, thanks for the response, I'll have to look and see if I can fit the battery there since I have the factory sub woofer in the kick wall by my feet. Can I ask what battery you used for your house battery?
