Triple-digit temps hit the Valley; heat warning in effect

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Watch for Monday and Tuesday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. throughout Maricopa County.

The forecast high in parts of the Valley is 108. That's record breaking.

The record for today's date is 105, set in 2006.

It's also 13 degrees above our seasonal norm.

The over all message BE CAREFUL! Drink water and lots of it! And find shade.

There is relief in sight.

Rain and temperatures in the mid-80s will make their way to the Valley later in the week.

Run for you lives it's gonna be hot in Az
