Bimini Surf Pockets...worth it?

Just dropped my boat off to have a few repairs done to my cover at the local canvas shop...as I was wrapping things up, it dawned on me that maybe I should ask how much to have Bimini Surf Pockets sewn into my bimini top on my ZFT2 tower. I do not have clamping board racks, so surf boards are a huge PITA in my boat. I was quoted $250...is it worth it?

Thanks!
Doug

Yes. Yes. Yes. Only draw back is if your Bimini cover won't fit with it on. It's tight but mine will. I even put a kneeboard in mine. It will hold 4 boards.

...comparable to a rack if you think about it that way.

These things are so useful they shouldn't even be options on surf boats.

Would only add that these surf pockets can be death to a higher end board made via traditional surfboard style epoxy glass construction. So much so that some of the shapers like Doomswell are proactively warning not to store boards in these bimini sleeves due to the heat. Maybe not as much of an issue up for us in the upper MW, but I don't risk it.

Great spot for compression molded boards though.
