Got an 05 x2 the old OG x2 that surfs about as good as any boat that I have been behind. Nice part about the 205v hull is that there is flat surfaces everywhere so your suck gate can be adjusted for a tall steep wave pushed up front or a long mellow wave pushed backed. The 205v (x2,x1) is also the last boats in Mastercrafts lineup to have floor panels that lift up where you can service the boat too. This boat does everything very well. Here is a surf video.

2006+ is nicer, 2013+ is even nicer, and going with a new boat would be awesome.

Your budget is your budget and you can find a nice surf boat within it. I've been tossing the idea of upgrading, but just can't swallow having a payment on a boat that costs more than mine or my wife's truck. My boat does everything i want it to and was $25,000.

I could use to have 2 seats recovered, but have been waiting until more seams split because i would like to do the whole interior at once so it matches. That being said, no one who has been on my boat has said anything about the 2 ripped seats.

I've heard that 2003/2004 had bad vinyl on the seats, but at the same time, the boats are 15 years old.

Would you consider a 2004 X-star with the 350 MCX? I've got one near your price range in Lake Elsinore. Can be inspected by the local dealer and warrantee and financing are available. Can also deliver.

What do you guys think about a 2007 X15? I might be able to find one of those in my area in my price range. Would this be a good option to consider for a first time boat owner looking for a good wake to surf?

Thanks!

Thank you for your response .
I'll have to figure out how to post link either this evening or tomorrow.
In the meantime here are some basics:
Red and white gel coat with black interior, zero flex tower with 2 Rev. 10 tower speakers, black bimini, polk audio separates 6 each mids and tweets, 3 MB Quart marine amplifiers, wet sounds bluetooth controller with aux. Wet sounds equalizer, all new sound system (amazingly loud and clean sound system installed professionally by IASCA winning installer. matching Mastercraft trailer with new hubs and brakes installed by dealer this August just before Labor day. New tires on trailer. Many of the XStar aluminum pieces are powder coated black. New Teak swim step from dealer installed this July. Spare OJ prop.

Will post some pictures shortly and figure out the link.
