Iím in the process of removing the interior pieces of my 04 X7/197. Iím wondering if there are any special instructions on how to remove the bow pieces? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Not sure on the 197, but for a lot of others you will need to remove speakers and go through those holes.

Same. On my X9 you had to remove the speakers, and then also reach up behind the side pads from the bow cushion area to remove nuts on the back side.

All the boats are going to be different but in general they'll be bolted on with access at both ends and speaker holes for the center. I used the phone on my camera to take pictures from every access area to try and see any fasteners. Be careful reaching behind as any loose strands will be like needles. Prepare for pokes and itching.

This is what I was thinking but I was hoping someone with actual experience with a 197 would share their experience.

I removed the speakers and there are no reachable bolts on the back of the padding. But there are screws drilled all the way through that apparently have some type of hooking system on them. Also thereís no way to reach up from the seating ports because you just canít get your hand up there, itís impossible. Surely someone on this forum has put a new interior in the bow of the 197. Please help!!

Check the last post on

I'm guessing they are similar? (I don't have an open bow)
