Cool Feel Seating Upholstery

Hey yíall, apologies if there is another thread out there on this. Whatís the verdict on the cool feel skins? Do they really stay cool in direct sun? And most importantly, how are they holding up from a durability stand point? AND...are they easy to keep clean compared to the base material?

I have a 2018 with cool feel. I put 110 hours on the boat this summer so it got great use. I would say I love it. I would not say its cool to the touch on sunny days. I don't know how much "cooler" it is in reality.

I will order it on my next boat. Durability excellent in my case so far.

Somebody did have an issue with the top layer peeling off, and had little specs of white under layer showing. I believe they replaced the interior, and said it was a bad batch of material, not a systemic issue.

Cool feel is awesome I wouldnít go without it. The brown tones are very easy to keep clean. It is totally worth the upgrade and it will be on my next boat. After hundreds of hours on it, it still looks brand new.

I have it on my boat we put about 60 hours on it in the last month and a half and like it a lot as well. Itís always cool but it is white so take that for what it is. Cleans up easy as well, granted we havenít had anything other then dirty feet. From what Iíve heard, the Black stays pretty cool as well. Hope that helps.

Thanks guys! Keep the feedback coming. It looks more porous, so was wondering if it could get dingy if you dont keep on top of it. What about water management? Will water penetrate it and get into the cushion material? I currently have the rayon/platinum base materisl and have absolutely no problems with it.

My former x45 had the rayon/platinum in it and I loved it. It held up great. Was a 2013 and still as good as brand new when I sold the boat. For some reason I'm not huge on the cool feel fabric. It seems like cloth to me. I ordered our new x24 with the new Odessa vinyl and they sent me samples of it from the factor before I ordered. I love it and the guys at the factory do too...

I forget what the details were, but peeling was caused by the user, I believe.

The peaking areas were sent back to Mastercraft to look at. Not caused by user(me)... they were in areas that actually saw no use... it looked like gas bubbles escaping from the top layer of the fabric. MC did replace the entire boat and the new stuff looks different. If you have a Ď17 with black and see white at the stitching, you may have this happen. I looked at a 50th pro star and the black looked better.

I must be thinking of a different boat/ situation. There was one in which MC wouldn't warranty the vinyl as it was not deemed defective. Sorry. I have the black cool feel in my '18, and no issues yet. (Knock on wood)
