I'm not sure when they quit selling it. You can still find one if you search a bit. I was an overly excited grandparent and got him the board when he was a year old so we've had it for several years. I don't think it's considered dangerous. It's the same board as the 119. My guess would be it didn't sell as well. 109 is for up to 95#, 119 up to 105#, so maybe outgrowing it quickly was also an issue. He'll be able to use this board for 2-3 more years and his younger brother will start using it in the next year or two so I'll have definitely have gotten my money's worth out of it.
