2001 205v factory tower on 1998 205

I bought this tower off of the classifieds, I know the decks are a little different from the boat it came off of to my boat but I'm hoping its close enough to make it work or work with some minor modifications. My boat is sitting in storage and I wont go get it for a couple months so to help fix my itch has anyone ever put one of these towers on the 96-98 205's?

Never put one on, but it should work with a bit of modifying. They did change the top deck in 99, but its still the same width. You might run into issues with the location of the front legs. The 99-forward has the fresh air vents just in front of the windshield and i think before that there was cupholders in a similar spot. You might run into an issue depending on what exactly is there.

If it doesn't work, please pm me if you decide to sell it. I have a 2000 205 V and want to update my tower this year

Yep sure did, I was able to get in contact with ND and get new bungs for the rear feet, had to cut the old ones off and weld those on then I had to do some grinding on the front feet to get them exact. Worst part was pulling the front legs out, Ill see if i can dig up the old thread that had pics of that mess. But to answer the question yea I got it to work and I couldn't be happier, I'm in it for less than the price of a cheap aftermarket tower and I personally love the look and functionality.
