Winch and tie down strap recommendations?

I need a new winch for my 2002 205v hulled star.

Looking on amazon thereís this reasonably priced Reese:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0016KABFC..._0dqtBb0GY9W07

I also need tie down straps - the sun has weakened mine to the point Iím concerned...

Any suggestions?

What rating does the winch need to be at? 1500lbs enough?

+1 on the retractable boat buckles.

On the winch it depends on the features and how the winch will be used. A basic winch like the one you reference is single speed and is only rated at 1500 lbs. If you power load and just use the winch to hold the boat in place while trailering this may be a fine choice. If you can't power load or use a steep ramp you may want a 2 speed winch that has a higher rating and possibly a brake. And lastly there's aesthetics. If you don't care about the materials used in construction or how long it'll look good for then cheap may be a good choice once again. If you do then one of the Fulton F2 winches may fill the bill better.
