2002 Tahoe

I have no plans to replace my old Tahoe any time soon (it only has 110,000 miles, and does a great job taking care of my needs: towing the boat in summer, ski trips in winter).

It has the giant console, with integrated cassette tape player. I'm certain the the tape player has never been used, and never will be used.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but I'm wondering if there's a commercially-available kit to remove the tape deck and CD storage in the front of the console and replace it with something more practical.

TIA

no commuting, about 3k mies back and forth to the lake in summer, 4k miles back and forth on ski trips in the winter, 1000 miles/year miscellaneous use.

This past winter I was fortunate enough to get to Steamboat, Jackson Hole, Big Sky, and several fine smaller areas in western Montana.

I had an 02 Silverado HD2500, removed that section and replaced it with a home made console section for a CB (snow plowing communication) and storage cubby. 3/4" plywood and vinyl from the local JoAnn fabrics. Nothing commercially available that I am aware of.

That looks like a great upgrade, for less than $15. Thanks for the link!
