Yeti Hopper - CHEAP!!!!!!! more...

so, I never thought I'd pony up for a hopper honestly. But lugging the hard sided cooler to the boat is a bit of a pain in the butt and back. Somehow, I got some email from Amazon about these coolers and I ended up finding it for $185 for the Yeti Hopper 40 - it's big! and perfect size. These seem to be about $300 normally, at least that what I've found. I looked again today and even used on ebay they're well over $200. Amazon doesn't seem to have this now, and I just ordered it 2 days ago, so maybe it was some weird special.

But, you might be able to find it through Woot, which I think is owned by Amazon. I say that because my packing slip shows it was shipped from Woot. Just thought I'd let y'all know, in case you're in the market.

It was a clearance, as the Hopper has been replaced by the Hopper Two. I missed the daily deal on Amazon and am pretty bummed I did. My buddy found his Yeti at HomeGoods of all places on clearance!

I see. The hopper 2 looks almost identical, wonder what changed other than the side zipper. This sucker is huuuuge!

The zipper is a big change. The old ones would violate your arm every time you went for a beer, made it hard to tell if you had been out drinking or just went 12 rounds with an angry cat. New zipper on the side plays nice. Never used the old 40 design but the older 20s were brutal to get in and out of. Solid deal at that price.

I don't think the 40's were as bad because of the size, I almost considered one on sale myself but already have two twenty2s and could not justify a third.

It's actually a lot bigger than I thought it would be.

I love my RTIC soft side and its around 1/3 to 1/2 the price of a Yeti. I got a Yeti 65 hard cooler and an RTIC 65 they perform the same but the RTIC actual hold 65 qt where the Yeti is more the 50'something...
