I factor in the following outside effects:
gas @ $3.55/gal
expensive ARM home loans are hitting a lot of people already - sub prime, negative amortization etc...
few places to get good ski water
it's been salty - but I had internal engine pics to show how clean everything is internally

Obviously my price was higher than the market would bear, but I'd rather keep it than sell it for less. Since I'd be hard pressed to find an equal replacement w/o quite a bit of extra $. And I've done enough boat work for this year to want a project boat as a replacement.

Looks like I'm going for a long drive.
The only thing (and I mean only thing) I could think of is that people might be afraid of the salt water use. I agree with H20skifreek, keep it. It's such a great boat (I liked the youtube video in your ebay listing). Tow it to Ohio and take a pit stop for a ski and some beer in northeast TX.

There was NO reserve at $8,999. The Buy It Now would have disapeared if anyone put a bid at that price. Since I'm time crunched I hoped that at $10,900 someone would swoop in on the first day.

Also put it on Ebay with out a starting price, with a reserve. It seems to get people into the bidding war.
Kind of. I look at it like most people drop in fishing bids to see where the reserve is and then back off a lot. I've been watching boats on Ebay for over a year, I mean a lot of boats - market research - I was a sales analyst before I got promoted. I've seen when boats start at a low, legit price, where the winner actually gets the boat. The final price ususally goes higher than average. Higher for Ebay anyway. Starting at $5k and having a Reserve at $8999 doesn't make sense to me. I initially started at $9800 for fear that going lower would convey some non-existant hidden issue rather than desperation of time.

Maybe that's part of the problem...some may have thought there was a reserve at first glance seeing a BIN and the stupid 'get low monthly payments' in blue under the starting price - suspiciously similar to the Reserve Not Met label.

Ten (10) different MasterCraft full-size boat decal sets here (and some gauges too).

If you lived in Amarillo or I had a couple extra days to burn I'd love to take you up on it. Unfortunately I'm on a fast track to get there.
