Factory speaker cans

Has anyone been able to fit any speakers in the factory cans except for JL Audio? Mine are busted from sun exposure and I really don't want to drop $450 on a pair of tower speakers. I am a Polk fan and I'm sure there are opinions on these but if I can get them to fit, it will.

Youd have to make an adapter ring for it to work. Id just find some used take offs.

I was thinking bout an adapter ring out of aluminum. Shouldn't be too difficult.

I would recommend finding used ones rather than doing that though.

I added an led light ring to my cans and was able to fit some Krypt hlcds in them. Good fit, looks great and sounds awesome so far. Had to add an amp as well.

Are they the 6.5 " or 7.7"? Either way, those are nearly as pricey as the jl audio. How do they sound?

6.5. They sound great. WIth only two tower mounted speakers I wanted HLCD so they would project to the end of the tow line. These do the job.

I bought light rings from a poster and drilled myself, but they sell them in the same sight as the speakers. At the time they were sold out of blue so I didn't have that option.
