It takes quite a bit of practice. Try driving it with a 750 and 400 pound bag! Lol

I've found the trick is adequate weight in the rear. 6 adults in the bow kgb full, 2 bow sacs under seat full and I never came close because of all the weight in the rear.
Now if I get a few bigins up front with no balast watch out!

Mastar,

Ya I need to find more friends I guess and I have been trying to fatten them up this winter as well!! lol
I have decided after reading lots this winter that I need to try and sink this bad boy! In other words i need more weight.

I have two extra 800 lb fat sacs going in the rear lockers and I will put all 400lbs of tractor weights up front and then find more people to ride along!!!

I would be worried about that weight up there when there isn't weight in the rear. I have to have all my weight at the rear when I load on the trailer since I use steep ramps. Give it a try and let us know how it goes

I know this isnít a huge wave with a lot of pocket or push but this is only factory ballast with my own diy wakegate and about 5 people sitting randomly in the boat. You have to surf alittle fast like around 12-13 to clean the wake up but we made it work. This year I already have the fly high system going in so Iíll be adding 2500. Iíll post some vids of the changes. Oh and this is from a 2005 xstar. But I thought it did ok

That is the best price I have seen for a pre-made model. I tried a similar "sylvan" model from Amazon on my xstar last weekend. I do not feel it made the wave any bigger but it did seem to shape it nicely and cleanup some of the white wash (that might help other riders). For $100 less, I might just order the wakemate.

I placed the sylvan model in the same location as deminimis on my boat.
