Maristar 225 VRS New Upholstery

Dropped the boat off at the upholstery shop here north of ATL for some new seats. Hoping that it turns out as well as I see it in my head. The upholstery world is definitely a sketchy one and one of the only businesses I know of that competitors will openly trash each other. Many of the business practices that the ones doing the trash talking are "warning" me about are the very same practices I experienced with those companies. I'll just say there's nothing like getting a price and putting down a deposit only to get called later that day with a price $2,000.00 higher. It blows my mind how some of these people stay In business for so long. Maybe there's just a big enough demand that they can get away with it.

Anyways, on a different note, it was painful yet satisfying to draw all over the upholstery to detail the new design. I will post photos upon completion. Hopefully I get it back soon so I can use that wet slip I've been paying on for a month and haven't been able to use!

Mine might be at the same shop... is said shop at the bottom of a very steep hill up off of HWY 92? If so, I am glad to hear you were happy with their work.

Will do, they told me that they had recently finished up the same boat. That definitely eases my nerves. I can't wait to get it back.

Well, the interior is wrapped up, now on to the sound system and sea deck on the floor. I have to say I wasn’t extremely impressed with the shop I used. It took them 7 months to wrap everything up, they were extremely sketchy through the whole process, and their final product has many issues. I’m just glad to have to boat back.

That was the day I picked it up, upholstery shop didn’t have a covered spot for the boat. They didn’t seem to care too much about my boat or the others that were there.
