Gt40p heads on 188hp mercruiser 302

I have 77 century raven (20' fiberglass closed bow) that has a omc outdrive. The 302 wad replaced at somepoint with a 188hp mercruiser. Last time out i noticed the oil was milky. If im doin head gaskets no reason to not throw a set of gt40p heads on and a 4 barrel. My question is this has anyone done this? Did the spark plugs clear stock manifolds?

Pretty sure there is no restriction with the OMC exhaust manifolds but can't guarantee it. if you need a marine Holley 4160, I can hook you up.

Just be careful with how much carb you are putting on that 302. The 351 and the 302 both have a 4” bore but the 302 only has a 3” stroke which mean you can over carb it real quick. But if you carb it corrrectly you’ll definitely have jump in hp with those heads.

I set up 600 cfm 4160ís with proper jetting to work with a 302 with an upgraded aluminum intake. I also have a 450 cfm 4160 I can rebuild for this.
