Angry Low Voltage Alarm

Where is the alarm connected to? I have had it go off usually at idle. I took the alternator out and had it checked and was told it is fine. I replaced the battery with a 800-1000 ccr blue top Optima.I started the boat and ran Ballast, heater, lights, stereo, bilge and the alternator was still putting out above 12 volts. It still goes off .With all accesories off it still went off so i checked my voltage from the back of the alternator while it was still sounding and my multimeter said 14.3 volts.I checked the connections at the ground to the block, fine at the circuit breaker tight and not coroded. Where else can i look?

What year boat is it? Does it say low voltage on your display? It could be a bad ground somewhere. It could also be that it isn't the low voltage alarm. It could be an engine code. On my 2007 when it would throw an engine code the alarm would go off and then "Check Eng" would be displayed.

Sorry its a 03 X9,no display on this one just an audible alarm and the stereo will cut out for 2 minutes. If you shut off and restart it stops.

Mine does this at idle some if the batts are low, at idle it is not pumping enough amps to run the boat if the batteries are low. A short run and the alarm never goes off again.

Did this ever get resolved? I have an 03 X2 and it's doing the same thing. Alarm goes off even though I'm showing 14+ volts. I've had my alternator tested and I've also replaced my battery.
