Clarion XMD-1

Iíve got the original Clarion cd head unit out of my 2003 X30. Iíve upgraded simply so I could have satellite radio and Bluetooth. Where we boat now there is no FM reception. This stereo still worked perfect when I took it out a few weeks ago. Free to a good home. Just pay me the shipping if you can use it.

New replacement stereo

I have that same stereo and looking to replace it with something that will allow for Bluetooth or play music somehow from my phone. What new stereo did you go with, and will it still work with the original clarion controls in the front and back of the boat?

Thanks,

M606

I purchased the M606. It will fit in the same location, but you will need to make an adapter plate to hold the stereo as the new head unit is a fraction of an inch smaller and I found that the mounting screws were hitting a void in the fiberglass so it wouldn't stay put. I took a piece of stainless steel and just rounded the edges, cut a hole out for the new head unit and mounted the plate in the hole, and then mounted the head unit to it. the M606 is a great improvement although the USB will not support newer iPhones....... I use Bluetooth so it doesn't matter. It has a remote plug but I did not have the remotes installed on my boat so I can't answer that question..... I left the box at the shop or id take a photo and send it to you of the plug.... You'll want to run some more AV cable (left and right) more than likely so you can separate at the amps the sub, cabin speakers, and tower now that this new head unit can control multiple zones. Let me know if I can answer anything else for you.
