Engine Fault

This critical fault popped up today. Any ideas what the problem.

SPN 110 FMI 0 is Engine Coolant temperature too high

Maybe the impeller needs replacing? We replaced one last year and from what I understand they wear out fast.

Check raw water intake strainer is clean. Also check that the seal is tight. Impeller should be good for at least 100 hours maybe 200 some say.

I've also had a plastic bag get sucked up against the intake under the boat when idling....blocks wster flow temporarily and will cook an impeller.
