That's the risk they take.

Win some you lose some. G series are great boats, but I would honestly try and find a more willing dealer.

2013 upgrades

My dealer said that he was told that MasterCraft is doing testing on software and Gen 2 tabs and are shooting for offering them on 2013's in June or July after they test everything.

MMS is the biggest MC dealer by a pretty big margin I'm sure they have the right info, but then again, who knows?

Back from the boat show. I spoke with Don I believe for a couple of minutes about the surf tab system on the 2014's. He did't say 100% they wouldn't retro fit the 13's all he said they're so new they are just barely getting them ready for the 2014's. He said the 13's would need new hardware, and a software upgrade and he didn't know when those could be completed. Not all of the 2014's have been fitted with the new hardware so those will have to come first which makes sense.

He said they work very well and you'll basically be able to weitht the boat evenly like the BU and just use the tabs. Except for the xstar, he said he didn't think you'd ever be able to surf starboard with that boat.

I think if we keep pressure on MC they will get us some retro fixes for the tabs, we just have to be patient.

side note I'm a fan of the G30. It's a nice boat.

So, gen2 for the XStar will prevent it from surfing on the starboard side?? I guess I don't understand what he means....

I was under the impression that the new Xstar was a much better surfer than the previous Gen2 Star.
