Rev 10 on X5/x7

Has anyone put a pair of rev 10s on a pro star 190/195/197 size hull? I would really like to get a set for my boat but not sure that my boat is big enough for the massive tower speakers. I might end up going with the jl 880. Please post pics if you have a set, also how many times a day do you hit your head.

I have 8" wet sounds on a X2. They were mounted in the middle positions. I'm no giant at 5'10" and they were real headknockers. Moved to the outer positions and it's better.

I used some 5 gallon buckets as a test today. I'm guessing they are somewhat comparable in size

May want to mount them in the center and tow them out. Assuming your speakers are over the dog house like mine. Rev410 is another option if you go center mount.

The five gallon bucket is a bit of a stretch, they are smaller than that.

This. I lol'd at the thought of having 5 gallon buckets on my tower.

They're not that bad, just be aware they're there. I knocked my head on my stock speakers also, and they were just 6.5" cans. Regardless of whether you get the JL 8.8's or Rev10's, you'll hit your head on them.

Here you go buddy. I have an 01 X5 with rev 8s and not the 10's but should be comparable for size. I have the cargo rack so Headroom wasn't a concern. Like the shade rather than the standing room.

Thanks for the replies. I thought that the buckets would be a little big. On the up side I went ahead and ordered the Rev 10s, along with 420bt equalizer, second battery switch, and a kinetic battery. More to still get but it's a start.
My tower is new dimensions. And the tower speakers on it are shot.
