I've footed with 11 people in the boat on a 100' line off the tower. I tried surfing the boat but the deepest my lake gets is about 8' and it was a lost cause. Next summer I hope to pull it over to a bigger lake to try surfing with it. I have some videos of the wake at various speeds 26 mph, 32mph & 34mph if you are interested let me know.

My draw to the boat, between my brother/sister and families, there are 13 of us (7 kids) and I needed more room to get everyone out on the boat. This boat does that well.

What kind of chop do you have on your lake? The biggest waves we get are maybe 12-15" and I've never felt like the ride was uncomfortable. My old boat, a 89' ski centurion would knock your fillings out on choppy days.
You would be hard pressed to surf behind any boat with 8' of depth.

My X9 surfs just fine.
