I remember Mitch. He had the MC with the raised rear platform and that cool boat house on the water and a red MC sign mounted on it...

Don't remember the raised platform (not saying it wasn't), but he has a green 209 and I also remember the banner. I met him on his lake one weekend a few years back. Good guy. He was on here from close to the very beginning. Way before I ever stumbled across this place in '06.

Rod's been back under another alias is my guess. Suddenly found himself needing this place when he went back to mc a few months ago.

I may have to get you to do a label for a project I'm working on some time soon.

This is earie....

Haven't even looked at this board in a almost year and a half and the first thing I see is a thread calling out vintage members. Crazy. What drew me here after all this time? Saw the Transworld Ad in my email. Said click here to see the 2011 MC's, I did and the first thing I saw was the Team Talk link. Hmm... Anyways, still pumping out the hours on the old X'30 at Lake Mead and Lake Powell. Funny story (to some but not to me).... Had the fuel pump go out in the middle of Lake Powell on the first morning of a 7 day trip to Lake Powell. Got towed back to camp and called the only Indmar authorized dealer near Lake Powell, which happened to be Antelope Pointe marina (where we launch). They did not have any in stock but told us they had 2 coming in the next day and would put my name on one. They had 2 coming in because 2 other people had broken fuel pumps. One had some relation to Utah water sports and that is where the pumps were coming from. The other, it turns out, was for an X 45 we saw covered all morning in the cove next to us. However, the Utah watersports guy called Antelope Point back and said they did not need the pump afterall. That is how AP marina said I could have it. The problem was, the pumps would not arrive until the next afternoon (Friday). Went to AP marina so I was there at the same time at their UPS shipment and guess what... no pumps. After a couple of hours of searching and calling Utah watersports, they determined the pumps were not shipped. The soonest they could get them in was Tuesday! Yikes! I decided to drive back to Las Vegas, go the Vegas Watersports first thing in the morning, and hope they had a pump. At 8:00 am Saturday I was in the parking lot. The owner showed up shortly after 8:00, had the pump in stock (and a gasket!). Took my $577 and off I went. Got back to Powell at 2:00 and the boat was running that afternoon. Trip saved! Unfortunately, the people next to us with the X45 had arrived Monday, were leaving Sunday, and never got to use their boat (it died while they were looking for a beach...). Anyways, I have heard a lot of fuel pump stories. No, we had a full tank of gas. No, the filter was never replaced since new. (It had a 3/03 hand written on it). Kind of had MC of Vegas try to give me a guilt trip about me not having them service it (most things I do myself). However, they have serviced it a couple of times and they never replaced the fuel pump either. Still love the boat. Some things you just have to deal with! Anyways, I will check back here more often and lurk now that I know I can still get on.

(Not that anyone cared, or asked), I'm not around as much as I used to be, but I'm still here.
