Rocker Switches question

I m looking to replace my switches but I get confused when it comes to SP, DP, SPDT, etc.... I understand what they mean but my problem is I dont know what switches I have. I have a 1991 Maristar (7) switches. (5) are just on/off and the other (2) are On/OFF/on. Are are lighted when powered in the on posistion.
Please help me understand, what Single pole single throw means vs single pole double throw VS DPST, and DPDT.

Very confusing!

I'm sure you will get plenty of help but I just went through this figuring out a problem with my trim tab and learned a lot but no expert.

single pole means only 1 power wire
douple pole means 2 power wires
single throw only sends power one direction (like turn lights on and off)
double throw switches the power and ground (like your ballast needs power one way to fill but switches the other direction to empty)
