No Electrical power

Hey guys:

Just put my 91 ProStar together. Went to start for the first time in a couple of years. New battery. Turned the ignition switch on and all of the components worked. Went to start and the starter barley turned over. I assumed weak battery and tried to charge. Now everything is dead. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Grizz

well.....start at battery and work away from it.

Do you have power on the gauges?
if so does it say 12v ish at the battery gauge?

Check power at the starter cables. reading 12v? run a 12v directly to the starter and give it the ol' 12v bypass touch to see if it goes full power.

ummmm.....battery cables cleaned and tightened down properly?

have you made your SO or wife(or both) angry lately???

Hey was getting nothing at all after trying to charge. Going to get some new battery connectors to see if that helps.

Thanks

take the battery in and have it load tested... I just took mine in my volt meter said 13.5v.. but I took it in and when they put a load on it went to 9.86v just like that... weird as usually if a battery reads 13.5v it is good.. when i turned the key on my tractor it would just make a bunch of noise...
