Damn Aric, you need to go and get the brake controller. That's sketchy when towing close to the limit.. Love the Tacoma though!

I think Iím gonna skip the controller and just use my dads F250 until I get back into another. 2018 250 platty in white gold please lol

Since we have upgraded to a LandCruiser and if i recall correctly its rating is 10k.
Tows great due to the better gearbox, but on the FWY, you can definitely feel the difference in shorter wheelbased between the two.


Most LC ever towed was 8500, but thats plenty for an X45.

Seriously, this is exactly why I sold my Tacoma years ago. Just because it's enough truck to tow the boat doesn't mean it's enough truck to stop it! For daily driving I actually prefer the smaller trucks, but I've had several scares like that before which made me move to the Tundra.
