Nice. I was stationed there from 86 to 90. Other then rock fever and no fresh water lakes I wouldn't mind living there. Both my wife and I are advanced open water certified and I'm PADI rescue diver certified, so we do miss that.
Sometimes in the morning at the ski club, when we salom on the ol' WWII sea plane runway that's now a course, it's just like a lake. They say saloming on salt water is different than fresh. I wouldn't know, I use double handles and bombaround on my ol maharaja wood ski. It's all fun for me. If you ever b here, let me know.

I never even knew they had a course there. Where is this sea plane runway? I assume some where near Pearl.

Indeed, there are two different state ramps off Sand Island Access road.
