So Traverse you have the lake shore, then you have different routes you go up west of TC you can do sleepy bear, or all the towns up near Leland. Wine Tour in that area

You can go old mission penninsula which has its own vineyards and a public park at the north end.

Are you bringing the boat? Boardman should have a boat launch but tons of cool lakes in the area, Elk lake and Torch lake are very popular and can be navigated between as well as torch river and lake skegemog, clam river and clam lake.

Probably not the best skiing weather this weekend up there but next week maybe!

Breweries of course.

If bringing a boat, youíve got to see torch lake. Put in on the clam river, there is a launch on the north side. When you come out of the channel head south to the sand bar. The entire lake is incredible and even more beautiful when itís sunny.

Sleeping bear dunes is cool. The entire eastern shore of Lake Michigan is incredible.

No we are not bringing a boat but have a friend who is taking us sailing one day out of Leland to North Manitou. Iím looking to visit some historic places and state parks if possible and hopefully a lot of I and I.
I appreciate the winery suggestions. Iíve heard itís a great place and very much looking forward to it. I love the state of Michigan.

Check out the dunes (if your in shape to walk up and down big sandy hills). I think you can still get a dune ride if you donít want to walk. Go out to the peninsula and check out the state park and light houses. Take your pick on water, anywhere you go is going to be great, obviously the big lake is going to be colder. Lots of scenic drives, but also keep in mind if you go to the tip of the peninsula from traverse, itís like 40mins or longer. Charter a salmon boat is always fun too. The whole area is awesome, no worries. The only worries would be you donít have enough time to see it all. . And donít forget to look for petoskey stones..

Sounds great will try it. If I tell them you sent us Steve, will we get thrown out of the joint?
