MDC Delete and Analog Gauge Replacement

Hi guys, I have a 2001 x-star and I did the MDC delete and replaced with
KRONOS GAUGES KTF024 - BOXED SET (FARIA INSTRUMENTS).
Everything went great except the fuel gauge reads 1/4tank when full and moves past empty as i burn off fuel. I am wondering how to check to see what is the problem? Was i supposed to replace sending unit or did I do something wrong.

also i have a depth gauge that is not reliable, any advice on where to find a new one?

Most likely you need a new fuel sender. The OEM fuel sender is not compatible with the Faria gauges.

I believe this was covered in the MDC Delete thread that's rather lengthy and detailed. If you haven't seen it you might want to find it and go through it.

Joel at Centroid is the answer. Yes, you need another sender. Look for the other post where mayself and others have answered that question.

I would recommend one of the Wema float fuel senders.
