PS 197 TT in Brackish Water

I'm contemplating a 2004 TT that's spent its life on Chesapeake Bay. It's not the ocean but it not exactly fresh water either. Should I avoid this altogether or are there ways to see if its a good boat?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

It depends on a great number of things: budget, level of MCOCD, what you will primarily be using it for, current asking price , current condition, water where you will use the boat (if it brackish to brackish/ salt vs current to freshwater.

If you're only planning to use it in fresh water, pass.

I looked at this boat before I purchased my 03 just a month ago. In my opinion the salt water use on this boat is being grossly misrepresented which is why I passed.

Ask for pictures of the engine bay....then prepare yourself.
