If you choose that type of flooring I would go with whoever has the best winter deal.
I got the aquamarine regular 5mm stuff on sale for 1/2 off before xmas... it isn't fancy.. but better than carpet... this is my project in 3 months.. it has to warm up enough for the adhesive to work

Ok, all the carpet is out and ready for new interior and new flooring (deckadance).

The carpet came out in 3 pieces that can be used for a template for the deckadance. It came out really easily except for the flooring panel in the middle of the boat. Near where that panel goes under the rear seat towards the back of the boat, since the panel is virtual impossible to remove without loosening all the fasteners that hold the top deck to the hull, I picked at it and got most (95%) of the carpet out.

Here are some pictures of the carpet completely out and ready for Deckadance.

So you are going with Deckadence then. Since you have the old carpet out as a template, did you just buy a big roll of the new material, or did you send in the old carpet for them to make new pieces and send back to you? Curious of your process. I could use new flooring in my '02 Star as well...

Yes, Deckadance because I like the idea of being able take it completely out to let it dry. I am just going to buy a big enough roll and cut it myself. Hadn't thought about sending it out for them to cut. I may look into that option. More pics coming in about 3 weeks when I get the boat back from the upholster. Can't wait. I will start another thread for the interior.

Can be done!

If you don't mind a lot of pain in the butt work, you can put Gatorstep to upgrade the look!

Wow, is that your boat? I need more info and pictures of that thing. I see several things I need to incorporate into my X-30.

Do you have a pattern for the GatorStep? Does GatorStep have the pattern?

Doesn't look like they have a 2002 X30 on the site. Might be worth it to call them. Seadek may have one also, but I don't see it on their site. I know they will send you a template kit if they don't have one though.

Yes also following with interest, i am definitely doing the same thing to our X9 over winter. i will be specially interested in how you slot the edges of the new carpet back into grooves and crevices as you go.

My plan is to install (essentially lay) Deckadance flooring over the raw bare floor. There will be no any pushing this material's edges into grooves or crevices. This new material simply lies on top of the floor.

Always wondered what do you do with it when you trailer, or do you snap in?
