Carpet
The backing on the underside of my carpet is coming apart. I cleaned the carpet today and had lots of the black gritty material come off. Anything I can do to make it last? I thought about spraying the back of the carpet with 3M adhesive spray and letting it dry. Am I crazy?
Thanks

Unfortunately not. The plasticizer is gone in my opinion. The weave backing should hold together unless your starting to lose strands of carpet. The black gritty stuff could be the old adhesive... maybe someone else will chime who has better info than me.

Yep dry rot...I have an 07 and I will have to replace my carpet this year as well. I lived with the black dust last season but it's time to fork out $312 for replacement carpet.
