82 mc pcm 351 tach replacement

I have ordered a faria 32804 tach to replace my oem tach.

Has anyone put one in before?

Took a peek behind dash and I have a black wire connected to the mounts, a white, a blue and looks like a gray.

Any suggestions for installation and setup on faria would be appreciated.

black is ground
grey is signal wire from ign coil
white is probably switch 12v
blue is probably for the lights

Thanks for the reply. I was mistaken about having a blue.

I got the tach pulled and as you stated have a black ground, gray signal, purple power which is jumpered with a white wire to the light. Just putting here in case someone else has the same issue.

On the new tack just one connection for power and lights.
